The last week of the regular season is here. There is a lot going on so we will try to fit everything in, but if we miss something make sure you are paying attention at practices for updates and upcoming events.
This past weekend was a bag of mixed results. The Chiefs U3s played very well against an undefeated Windham team, coming up just short, 25-19. (We won’t count the classless last second touchdown they scored as our defense was expecting them to take a knee). The U5 ‘s continued on their march toward a state championship with a 32-0 pounding of Bedford. And the U6’s took one on the chin Sat. night, falling 32-26 to Hudson. Hopefully they can right the ship before playoffs start.
Games this weekend will be on SATURDAY. Game times have also been changed. U3’s will play at 10 against Nashua PAL, U6’s at 12 against Monadnock, and the U5 ‘S at 2 against Nashua PAL. We will be playing host to Franklin and their 2 games. Their U3’s will play L’Derry at 8 and their U6’s will wrap up the long day against Milford at 4. Obviously this means we will be looking for extra help in the concession stand.
The Lady Chiefs will be performing their competition routines at noon just prior to the start of the U6 Laconia game. This is in lieu of a mandatory pep rally so it is expected that everyone will attend to watch and cheer on our girls as they prepare for the state competition to be held at Southern N.H. University on Sunday the 30th at 11:00 am. Mary has 9 extra tickets to the competition so if anyone is interested in going please see her. I believe the price is $12 a ticket. Also performing during the game break will be the Laconia High School Cheer team. There are many Chief alums on the squad and it promises to be a good show.
This week is the last hooray for the flag teams as they travel to Franklin for the final game. The game time is scheduled for 5:00 pm so they can get the game in before it gets dark. Both teams did very well this season and we wish to thank Coach Dante and Coach Mike as they worked hard to prepare our kids for tackle football next season. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who came out to support the kids week after week.
The schedule for the rest of this week looks like this:

Next month is the annual nominations for next year’s Board of Directors. As always, anyone is allowed to be nominated for any position and we encourage people to do so. We will have a vacancy for the Insurance/Safety Coordinator position as well as the Cheer Coordinator position. If you wish to become more involved with us, please plan on attending the meeting on Nov. 7th 7 pm @ the C.C., and submitting your name for consideration on the December ballot.
Attached is a flyer for the End of the Season Dance at the Laconia Elks. We hold this event to say “Thank You” to all of those who help and supported us throughout the very long season. We certainly hope to see all of you there.
This is the last game for the U3 kids. That means after the game is over they will be required to turn in all of their equipment. Bring all game and practice equipment with you to the field as well as a change of clothes for the kids because we are taking everything.
