Chief’s Smoke Signal
Teams looked a lot better this weekend. 9U’s dropped an offensive battle, 34-25 while the 10U’s engaged in a defensive struggle and came up just short, 20-7. Baby steps, we’ll get there. Both teams will be away this weekend at Nashua PAL, 7 Stadium Drive in Nashua – Stellos Stadium. 9U will be playing at 8:00 am and the 10U will be playing at 12 pm. As always, arrive 1 hour prior to game time ready to go and as an FYI Stellos Stadium is a SMOKE FREE, PET FREE zone. Please leave your pets at home! Good luck to both squads!
Cheerleaders, now that we are inside please pay attention to the practice schedules. Danielle has said that it is posted to the Facebook page. With the changing of the weather please make sure the girls are all equipped with their ENTIRE uniform on game days.
All board positions are up for election in December but the slots that currently do not have anyone running are: Vice President, Equipment Coordinator, Public Relations Coordinator, Fundraising Coordinator, Web Administrator, and potentially Football Coordinator. As you can see, we will need lots of help next year. If your child is going to be around for a while, get involved!! Monthly meetings: first Monday of every month, 7 pm @ the community center, or inquire with a current board member for details.
On October 21st (Date has changed from the 20th) at LHS at 1 pm, we will be hosting our first annual cornhole tournament (see the back of this newsletter) to kick off the 2019 helmet drive. If you are interested in sponsoring a board or getting a team together to participate please see a board member for details. We need to raise roughly $15,000 for new helmets as our helmet’s shelf life expires this year.
We are looking for volunteers in the concession for the LHS Friday night games. If you are able to help out please see Jess so she can get you on the schedule. Thanks.
